September 27, 2025 — Global Powwow
From the heart of the Great Lawn in Central Park, we gather as one — led by Indigenous peoples, in partnership with Global Citizen.
Together, we rise in ceremony and song to unite humanity, restore Mother Earth, and kindle a regenerative future for all.
2025 Global Powwow
What Is the 2025 Global Powwow?
On September 27, 2025, the Great Lawn in Central Park becomes the heart of a global movement — the Global Powwow — led by the Ramapough Munsee Lenape Nation in partnership with Global Citizen.
This historic gathering is part of a ten-year ceremonial movement — Solstice Unites — rooted in Indigenous wisdom and offered as a sacred gift to all of humanity.
The Global Powwow invites people everywhere to come together in ceremony, song, and dance; to share stories and prayers; and to join in collective healing for the Earth and all our relations. It is a moment to:
-
Honor the original peoples of the land
-
Unite communities across cultures and nations
-
Stand for peace and planetary restoration
-
Ignite a regenerative future for all life
This is not a concert or a conference.
It is social medicine — a sacred convergence to remember our responsibilities to one another, to the Earth, and to future generations.

Ceremony Schedule – June 21, 2025
Across three cities — each with deep ancestral resonance — we came together as one human family in rhythm with the sun:
🌊 Amsterdam – Sunrise (Water Ceremony)
Honoring the sacred flow of life, this morning ceremony uplifted the spirit of renewal, ancestral wisdom, and our shared relationship with water as the source of all life.
🌿 New York City – Midday (Solstice Ceremony)
For the first time in centuries, Corlear’s Hook hosted a sacred Solstice Ceremony for Cleansing, Healing, and Reciprocity. This gathering, hosted by the Ramapough Munsee Lenape Nation, honored the Lenape homeland and initiated a new era of restoration through:
- Ancestral blessings and land acknowledgment
- Ceremonial cleansing and healing rites
- Songs, prayers, and offerings for renewal
- A collective act of reciprocity for Mother Earth and future generations
🔥 Los Angeles – Sunset (Firelight Ceremony & Stories)
As the day closed, we gathered in firelight to reflect, celebrate, and envision what’s next. Through music, storytelling, and dance, we moved from ceremony to movement — rooted in resilience, healing, and hope.

Why a Powwow?
A Powwow is a sacred gathering that affirms the oneness of life through dance, song, ceremony, and prayer. It is a circle of belonging—where all are welcome and all are needed.
While many recognize powwows for their vibrant songs, dances, and cultural expressions, these are part of a deeper purpose: restoring harmony and balance among peoples and with Mother Earth.

Join the Circle
Everyone is welcome. Every culture is valued. Every voice is sacred. Whether you are Indigenous, a settler, a seeker, an elder, or a youth—this Powwow is for you.
